Dear Senator Warren,

We are a group of volunteer leaders from your presidential campaign who kept in touch and formed Dream Big Fight On to keep fighting the righteous fights you inspire.

We are so saddened to hear of the passing of your oldest brother, Donald Reed Herring. Your brother’s memory will live on in your family, and his service to this country will forever be a testament to his patriotism and selflessness.

Helen Keller said it eloquently: “What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose; all that we deeply love becomes a part of us.” We are certain your love for your brother — his crooked smile and all — will stay with you forever. We hope that you and your family can lean on each other, even if it must be remotely, and that you all have the peace and ability to grieve in private.

Coronavirus has taken so many loved ones from so many families. You have been our ray of hope as you work tirelessly to help those who need help the most. We wish to, in some small way, return a measure of that hope to you — and to let you know that we will never stop fighting, either. We are with you in this righteous fight. We, too, will persist.

As a small token of love to you and your family, we have made a group donation to Disabled American Veterans in your brother’s honor.

With our deepest condolences,

Dream Big Fight On
